It is a Crusader castle located at the top of the mountain, offering a beautiful view. We will continue the visit to Jerash, one of the cities of the Decapolis. Jerash is located north of Amman, approximately 45 km away and an hour’s drive. During the excursion, we will visit the Arch of Triumph, the Oval Plaza, the Cardo, the Colonnade, the Temple of Aphrodite, and finally the Roman Theatre, which has wonderful acoustics. The preservation of the ruins of Jerash still surprises visitors, offering a clear sense of how the cities looked in that era. Afterward, transfer to the Dead Sea. At the scheduled time, visit Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the site where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. The Jordanian site of Bethany was opened to visitors in 2000, and Pope John Paul II attended its inauguration in recognition of its significance to the Christian world. The Baptism Site of Jesus, known as “Bethany Beyond the Jordan” (Al-Maghtas), is an archaeological site located on the eastern bank of the Jordan River, approximately 9 km north of the Dead Sea. It is of immense importance to Christianity, as it is recognized as the place where Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist.
Continue to Madaba to visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, home to the oldest known mosaic map of the Holy Land.
Proceed to Mount Nebo to enjoy panoramic views of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. This sacred site is believed to be the last place visited by Moses, from where he viewed the Promised Land, which he would never enter.

It served as a caravanserai and offers a peaceful setting with rock-carved tombs and a narrow Siq that leads between towering sandstone cliffs to a scenic viewpoint overlooking the surrounding area.
The remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring the Rose City of Petra, the ancient capital of the Nabataean Kingdom. During the visit, discover Petra’s most famous and iconic monuments carved directly into the rose-colored rock by the Nabataeans. Highlights include The Treasury (Al-Khazneh), internationally renowned and featured in one of the Indiana Jones films, the Street of Facades (Colored Tombs), the Royal Tombs, and The Monastery (Ad Deir).
